2025-2026 Season Tryout Information

This is a tryout sport. 

Students will meet for class every day at the Plano Aquatic Center during either 1st or 7th period athletics.  The time depends on the ability of the swimmer.  Varsity swimmers usually swim in the morning with the other students swimming during 7th period.

Swim Tryouts:

Dates: Aug 4-5, 2025 (Varsity Tryouts)

Time: 8:30-10:30am

Dates: Aug 6, 2025 (JV Tryouts)

Time: 8:00-9:00am

Location: Plano Aquatic Center (2301 Westside Dr, Plano, TX)

Dive Tryouts:

Dates: Aug 12

Time: 8:00 am

Dates: Aug 13-14

Time: 7:00 am

Location: Oak Point Rec Center (6000 Jupiter Rd, Plano, TX)

We are looking for coachable athletes who have a great work ethic and want to learn to be better swimmers and teammates. Prospective student-athletes will be tested and evaluated for their overall athletic ability and level of swimming skill. Coaches will apply ranking for the following skills (in this order):

1. ATTITUDE

2. SKILL/COMPETITION EVALUATION

3. ENDURANCE and COMMITMENT TO TECHNIQUE

Because this is a competitive UIL sport, it is highly recommended that you participate in YMCA, Recreation, or Club swimming over the summer to prepare for the high school season.
